I see a very good game in here. You already know about the power ups. You could add a temporary shield, maybe players could collect shots for your gun to shoot those bricks, a timestop that freezes all bricks for a short time, or maybe add health or something like that. Weee, brainstorming!

I especially liked the "gun" you get to shoot the bricks all by yourself, just like in asteroids. ^^

In asteroids to kill the aliens, that is.

well done

A well made game, but after a while it got boring, and it was really annoying to log onto the internet AGAIN to watch the newgrounds page. After a while I just clicked random stuff, or when I had to wait for 10 days until a flash was finished, I just clicked "sleep" ten time.

I know, you've put a lot of work into this, I suppose 2-3 months, but some variety would've been good for the game.

It is nonetheless an awesome submission. But I somehow rather play the real newgrounds. ^^
